Kathleen Mary "Kathy" Mullooly, 77, Green Bay, passed away Saturday, April 24, 2021. She was born on February 11, 1944 in Chicago, IL to Hubert F. and Catherine M. (Hayes) Mullooly.

Kathy spent her childhood in Illinois and Wisconsin. In 1962, she graduated from Edgewood High School in Madison and from Wisconsin State University-Platteville, in 1966.

Kathy loved children and was a devoted second-grade teacher for 33 years at MacArthur Elementary School in Green Bay. She enjoyed the wisdom of seven-year-olds, including the student who proclaimed on her birthday one year, "Miss Mullooly, you're a day older than President Lincoln!"

After retirement, she continued to substitute teach and tutor at MacArthur School. In recent years, Kathy also taught religious education and served on the environment committee at St. Agnes Parish.

An avid reader, Kathy belonged to a book and bunco club. She enjoyed playing golf in summer and cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in winter. Kathy appreciated the outdoors, enhancing the landscape of her yard each year. Most of all, she delighted in her beloved cat.

Survivors include Kathy's siblings, William (Wynell) Mullooly, Dr. Thomas (Kitty) Mullooly, Patricia Mullooly, Hubert (Suzette) Mullooly Jr., and Jean Mullooly; nieces and nephews, Brian Mullooly, Michelle Horch, John Mullooly, Michael Mullooly, and Erin Paulsen.

Kathy was preceded in death by her parents, Hubert and Catherine Mullooly; and cousins, Michael Hayes and John Hayes.

Visitation will be at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St. from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 5, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 a.m. with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating. All in attendance will be required to wear masks. The mass will be live-streamed and may be viewed at: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCB1iGCyWYCtLEScmsuv0TSQ .
