Kathleen "Katie" (Bergner) Stollberg, 82, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, April 27, 2023 with family by her side. She was born January 4, 1941, in Green Bay to Harold and Mary Bergner, and was the oldest of eight children.

Katie graduated from Green Bay West High School, Class of 1959. She attended beauty school and was a beautician. Katie also worked as a tax preparer, but her favorite job was working alongside Mary Lou and Harry at St. Agnes Bakery. Katie married Robert R. Stollberg on July 11, 1964. They moved to Spokane, WA, where Bob was stationed with the U.S. Air Force. They celebrated 56 years together. Bob preceded her in death on September 21, 2020. Five years into their marriage, they welcomed their first son on their anniversary and five years later they had their daughter.

Katie was devoted to her Catholic faith, and she enjoyed volunteering with St. Agnes where she cleaned weekly. Together, Katie and Bob enjoyed time at the cottage on Bass Lake with their family, where she enjoyed fishing and berry picking. She enjoyed yard work and gardening, and she could not paint a wall without getting paint in her hair. Everyone looked forward to her famous Sunday Packer parties. Katie loved her entire family, but her grandchildren were always perfect angels in her eyes.

She is survived by her children, B.J. (Rachael) Stollberg, Sue (Tom) Harper; grandchildren, Kaitlyn (Bailey) Stollberg, Joe Southern (Riley Horton) and Jed Stollberg; soon to be great-granddaughter, Georgia; siblings, Mary Lou Kroening, David (Lori) Bergner, Harrison Bergner, Linda Beth; sisters-in-law, Debby Bergner, Karen Bergner; nieces, nephews, especially her dearest nephew, Robert Bergner of who she was the legal guardian, other relatives, and friends.

Katie was preceded in death by her husband, Bob; granddaughter, Emma Stollberg; parents, Harold and Mary; siblings, Ed (Bobbie) Bergner, Bill Bergner, Pat Bergner, Myra Bergner; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Viola Stollberg; brothers-in-law, Eugene (Leona) Stollberg, Ralph (Pat) Stollberg, Richard Kroening, and Peter Beth.

Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 3; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11:30 a.m. with Rev. Patrick C.
