Judith "Judy" Tilly, beloved sister, aunt, and friend, passed away on July 11, 2025, at the age of 72, due to complications from diabetes. Born in Green Bay, Wisconsin, on September 30, 1952, she was the daughter of Delbert and Rita (O'Donnell) Heuvelmans.

A graduate of West High School's class of 1970, Judy played flute in the school's concert band and carried her love for music, beauty, and grace throughout her life. On October 12, 1974, she married Dennis Tilly, at St. John the Baptist Church in Howard-a church that would later become both her spiritual home and place of work.

Judy had a lifelong devotion to her family and her community. She began her career early, working alongside her sister Jane at Baker Boy when they were just 15. Her diligence and leadership eventually led her to manage the store, and she continued through its transition to Sure Way before taking on the role of secretary at St. John the Baptist Church. There, Judy greeted every visitor with compassion, a jar of candy, and the genuine warmth that was her hallmark.

Those who knew Judy remember her impeccable taste and love of shopping, her green thumb in the garden, and the incredible meals she lovingly prepared. Guests never left her home empty-handed-most often carrying a pizza casserole or her famous chocolate chip cookies. Her hospitality was boundless and her heart even more so. She was also a formidable cribbage player and took great pride in the friendly competition it brought to family gatherings.

Though Judy and Dennis never had children of their own, the love she gave knew no bounds. She helped nurture her nieces Jodi and Amanda, as though they were her own daughters. Alongside Jane, the four of them-Jane, Judy, Jodi, and Amanda-formed a shopping quartet, often making trips to Door County and creating memories filled with laughter, fashion and antique finds, and cherished conversation. Judy was there for every milestone, celebration, and life moment-standing proudly next to their mother and quietly becoming one herself in their hearts. Her presence, support, and love shaped their lives in immeasurable ways.

Judy was a devoted wife, caring for Dennis with unyielding love until his passing. She cherished her family, and her kindness extended to animals and anyone fortunate enough to cross her path. She is survived by her brother Harold Heuvelmans; sister Jane (Al) Nero; sister-in-law Alison Heuvelmans; nieces and nephews Savannah Rohde, Jodi Nero (Sam Johnson), Krista Corrigan Kansier, Amanda (Andy) VanDeYacht, Erik Heuvelmans, and Sarah Heuvelmans; great-nieces and nephews Taylor Johnson, Haylea Van De Yacht, Austin Van De Yacht, and Victoria Van De Yacht. She was preceded in death by her parents and in-laws Alvin and Freida Tilly, husband Dennis, brothers Dan and John Heuvelmans, and sister Barb Schulze. Judy's legacy lives on through the countless lives she touched-with laughter, warmth, and a pizza casserole at the ready.

Judy's wishes were for a family-only service to be held at Blaney Funeral Home, which will take place on Monday, July 21 from 3:00 - 5:00 p.m. with a service to follow. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
