Joyce H. "Joy" Meetz, 99, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on the morning of September 20, 2024. The daughter of John and Hilda (Anderson) Brueckner was born on January 23, 1925, in Green Bay.

Joyce was the youngest of 10 amongst her brothers and sisters. She was a graduate of West High School, Class of '43. On August 28, 1948 Joyce married Harvey Meetz Jr. at Annunciation Catholic Church. Together they had four children. Joyce raised her kids and then went on to work at Prange's downtown. She and Harvey enjoyed winters in Arizona and their trips to Hawaii. Joyce loved to read and cook, especially for her family during the holidays. Above everything else, she loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Joyce is survived by her son, Jeff (Lamella) Meetz; son-in-law, Bill Peterson; grandchildren, Shawn Meetz, Cory (Valerie) Meetz, Robert (Tara) Peterson, Kayla Peterson, Cameron January; great-grandchildren, Reegan, Ava, Wesley, Kinsley; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Harvey; her son, Gary; daughters, Judy Peterson and Lynn Meetz; her parents; as well as her nine siblings.

Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Catholic Parish, 1484 ninth St., on Saturday, September 28 from 9-11am. The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11am, with Rev. Quinn Mann officiating.
