Joyce Marie Goates, 76, Green Bay, passed away Wednesday, June 19, 2024. She was born June 13, 1948, in Green Bay to Orville H. and Mildred R. (Goffard) Deno.

Joyce graduated from Green Bay East High School, Class of 1966. She worked at TNT Crust and Frank and Pat's Pizza until she moved to Arkansas in the late 1980's where she began working as a pharmacy tech at Walmart. Joyce married Thomas Goates in 1990 and they spent 25 years together before Tom's passing in 2015. She returned to Green Bay in 2016. Joyce was an avid Packers fan and made sure to watch every game. Joyce enjoyed playing cards, crocheting, and baking. She loved to bake pies that were enjoyed by family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Mike (Sara Vernosh) Sturm; siblings, Dorothy (Al) LeFevre, Donald (Susan) Deno, Joseph Deno, David Deno, Carol (James) VanBeckum; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Joyce was preceded in death by her infant son, Patrick Lee; husband, Tommy Goates; parents, Orville and Mildred.
