In Loving Memory of John A. Wood Jr.

(Born: October 18, 1936 – Died: August 14, 2023)

John A. Wood Jr., a beloved member of the Green Bay community and a dedicated Green Bay Packers fan, passed away on August 14, 2023. He was born in 1936 in Chicago, IL and graduated from the University of Wisconsin. John was an avid traveler, loved photography, music, and dancing.

John was a long-time entrepreneur, founder of two businesses. Most recently, he founded Creative Camera Video Services, a company that captured cherished moments for countless families in the Green Bay area. Additionally, he founded a dog-grooming business with his stepson George where they faithfully served many furry companions and their owners. Prior to these ventures, John worked for years at the Pulaski-based Pikle Rite Corporation, a company founded by his father John A. Wood Sr., where John Jr. later became president, and where numerous family members also worked. Pikle-Rite Company was founded in Chicago in the 1940's and then moved to Pulaski, WI and featured "Polka"-branded pickle products. It grew from a small family business into a Midwest enterprise selling a range of various types of pickles that were sold in grocery stores in Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Indiana and Ohio.

John was preceded in death by his loving wife, Beverly Wood, who shared many loving years with him as his one and only true "best friend". He is survived by two stepsons, their spouses, and children.

John's sister, Rita Wood Slawson preceded him in death in 2015. He is also survived by three nephews, a niece, their spouses and children, and numerous cousins.

John will be laid to rest at Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

As we bid farewell to John A. Wood Jr., we celebrate the life of a caring husband, a devoted stepfather, and a strong friend to many. His memory will remain in our hearts, and his legacy will live on through the lives he touched.

May his soul rest in peace.
