John "Jack" H. DeGroot, 100, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2024. He was born November 11, 1924, in Green Bay to John and Esther (LeMoine) DeGroot.

Jack proudly served in the U.S. Navy. He married Arlene Moes on November 6, 1948. For many years Jack worked as a truck driver for Glendenning Motorways and retired in 1982. Later he moved cars for S & L Motors and Chrysler World and Arlene would happily ride along. Jack enjoyed hunting, traveling, and wintering in Arizona. He remained active his whole life and was always doing something. He attended SS. Edward & Isidore Catholic Church. Jack's family was his pride and joy and loved spending time with them.

He is survived by his wife, Arlene; children, Jack (Bonnie) DeGroot, Mary Kay (Alan) Olson, Barb Brocker, Jerry (Carla) DeGroot; grandchildren, David (Sherri) Olson, Greg (Angela) Olson, Amanda (Mike) Loomis; great-grandchildren, Jarret Olson, Taylor Olson, Abby Olson, Brenner Loomis, Autumn Loomis; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jack was preceded in death by his daughter, Susan (David) Brandenburg; son-in-law, Marvin "Mort" Brocker; sister, Dorothy (Norman) Nickel; sister-in-law, Gladys (Leon) Calewarts.

Friends and family will gather at SS. Edward & Isidore Parish, 3667 Flintville Rd., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 27; Mass to follow at 11 a.m. full military honors will conclude.
