John Butrymowicz, 88, Green Bay, passed away Tuesday, January 24, 2023, surrounded by his family. He was born June 12, 1934, in Two Rivers, WI to the late John and Margaret (Wengrzyn) Butrymowicz.

In 1959 John married Dorothy Turbiville in Ekalaka, Montana. She preceded him in death on April 30, 1994. John was an educator and worked as a teacher, coach and administrator. His 36-year career was spent in Michigan, Montana, and Wisconsin. John retired in 1992 from Green Bay Preble High School. He enjoyed watching sports, reading  and traveling. He loved his many trips to South Dakota for the rodeo.

He is survived by his children, Lynn (Dick) Stymiest, Gail Butrymowicz, Johnny Butrymowicz, Paul Butrymowicz, Joan Berg; grandchildren, Braylon and Lauden Berg (and their father, Darren Berg); step-grandsons, Brady (Chue Lee) and Nathan (Camille) Stymiest; sister-in-law, Linda (Dave) Kautzmann and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.

John was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy; grandson, Logan Ness; brother, Frank (Laverne); sisters, Ann (Ted) Sekora, Sr. Mary Christella; brother-in-law, Dick (Rose Ann) Turbiville.

Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Thursday, February 2; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 12 p.m. with Rev. Patrick C.
