Joan M. Haworth of Green Bay was born to eternal life on Wednesday, May 10, 2023, at the age of 92. Joan was born on May 3, 1931, in Rosiere, WI, to the late Richard and Alice (Gilson) Tlachac. She lived in the Town of Lincoln as a child and later moved with her family to a farm in the Forestville area. She graduated from Algoma High School in 1949 and then was employed by the State of Wisconsin and Fort Howard Paper Company.

Joan was known for her caring and generous ways, and she was loved by all. One of the ways she showed her love to those around her was with wonderful meals and delicious desserts. She had a strong faith and was a long-time active member of St. Agnes Church, the Community of Christian Women, and the Holy Rosary Society. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, and volunteering for her church and the community. Most of all, she loved her family and friends.

Joan married Leland (Lee) Haworth on July 12, 1958, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Algoma. He preceded her in death in 2006 after 48 years of marriage. She was the loving mother of John Haworth, Jan (Chris) Pamperin, Karen Schneider, and Jim (Kristin) Haworth; proud grandma of Stephanie (Adam) VanDeurzen, Allison Pamperin, Emily and Katy Haworth, Luke and Anna Schneider, and great-granddaughter Evelyn VanDeurzen. She is further survived by her sister Joyce Holschuh and sister-in-law Dorothy Haworth, and many nieces and nephews, godchildren, and friends.

In addition to her husband, Lee, and her parents, Richard and Alice Tlachac, Joan was preceded in death by an infant sister; Lee's parents, Clement and Caroline Haworth; her brothers- and sisters-in-laws David and Joyce Haworth, Mike and Madeline Vallier, Arnie and Caroline O'Brien, Ron and Florence Haworth, Richard Haworth, Tom Holschuh; and her son-in-law Hank Schneider.

Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday, May 19; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating. Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

In lieu of flowers, donations requested to the St. John's Ministries of Green Bay and to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Joan's family would like to thank the staff at Brookview Meadows for their friendship and care the last three years.
