Jerome "Jerry" Raphael Strebel, 83, of Green Bay, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully on June 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family. Jerry lived a life defined by hard work, faith, devotion to family, and a gift for friendship that made everyone feel welcome.

Jerry was born on March 2, 1943, to Raphael and Rita Strebel and was raised on New Franken Road in New Franken, Wisconsin. He often fondly recalled his childhood memories of riding his scooter through the neighborhood, visiting Ethel Greiling's Store, helping at his father's gas station, and enjoying time with his large family. Those early experiences helped shape the practical, hardworking, and good-humored man he became.

He graduated from Green Bay Preble High School and began a career with Wisconsin Electric at the Pulliam Plant. Jerry started in the screen room and worked his way up to become an Electrical Foreman retiring in June 2002.

As a teenager, Jerry met the love of his life Rosalie Wright at Jack's, a popular East Side gathering place in Green Bay. They were married for 61 years and blessed with three children: Jeffrey, Amy, and Paul.

Nothing brought Jerry greater pride than his family. He treasured hunting trips with Jeff, cheering on Amy through her Special Olympics activities, and attending Paul's high school band performances and plays. He also delighted in being a grandfather to Jacob and Autumn, children of Jeff and Stacy, and Moira and Delanie, children of Paul and Kim. His grandchildren brought him immeasurable joy and countless reasons to smile.

Jerry remained devoted to his Catholic faith throughout his life and was a faithful member of St. Jude Parish, where he attended weekly Mass.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raphael and Rita Strebel; brother, David Strebel; daughter Amy Strebel; and other loved ones who welcomed him into eternal life.

Jerry enjoyed a wide variety of hobbies and interests throughout his life. He was an avid sports fan, reader, collector of beer cans and brewery memorabilia, and enthusiast of Triumph motorcycles. He loved tinkering in the garage, fixing small engines, fishing, hunting, solving puzzles, playing cards and trivia games, visiting museums, attending happy hours, and reminiscing with family and friends. He especially enjoyed spending time at the cabin "Up North," riding in his Jeep, listening to Johnny Cash, and enjoying an Old Fashioned or a dark beer while grazing on cheese and crackers with good company.

Jerry also enjoyed traveling throughout Wisconsin, the Midwest, and Europe, including trips to the Czech Republic, Germany, England, Holland, Poland, and Austria. Yet no matter where he traveled, he was always happiest returning home to family, friends, and the Northwoods he loved.

Jerry will be remembered for his steady presence, sense of humor, unwavering loyalty, and love for family. His wisdom, stories, laughter, and kindness leave a legacy that will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.
