Jeffery "Butch" Beining, 71, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2026, after a short illness with cancer. He was born to John and Frances Beining on June 21, 1955, and he graduated from Ashwaubenon High School in 1974 and continued to live his entire life in the Green Bay area.
To say Butch was a car and motorcycle enthusiast would be an understatement. His life revolved around restoring cars. He took great pride in his work as an automotive painter in the auto body shop at Broadway Chevrolet in Green Bay, where he worked for 28 years. He later spent many years working with William "Red" Lewis, restoring vintage cars for Red's personal collection, which eventually became what is known today as the Automobile Gallery in downtown Green Bay.
Butch always seemed to have a car "project" in the works. Over the years, he restored many amazing cars of his own and proudly showed them at car shows throughout Wisconsin, events he loved to attend.
Butch was a true biker and his greatest passion in life was riding his motorcycle. He was fortunate enough to still ride until July of this year, then his illness began to wear him down. He was a lifetime member of The Magnetos M.C. in Green Bay for more than 50 years, where he formed a lifelong brotherhood of friendships with many. He rode in countless bike runs, memorials and rallies, traveling as far as Nevada, South Dakota for the annual Sturgis Motorcycle Rally, and at the age of 66, he made a solo ride to California.
Jeff was devoted to his family and he is survived by his mother, Frances Beining, with whom he shared a special and loving bond and whom he devotedly cared for; his close friend Trish Wesley; siblings, Judith Monroe, Steven (Mary Jo) Beining, Richard Beining, and Bridget (Carl) D'Aguiar; his nieces, Malori (Robert) Clarke, Shayna (Brady) Van Deurzen, Danielle Beining, Megan (Noah) Paulson, Allison Beining (Wyatt Peters); and his nephew, Johnathan (Johnny) D'Aguiar. He was preceded in death by his father, John R. Beining, and his brother-in-law, William C. Monroe Jr.
Butch requested that a memorial ride and a celebration of life be planned for June 2027. Details will be forth coming. To send online condolences, go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
"Butch, you have lived life with the wind in your face and a fire in your heart. May your next road be wide open, with clear skies and the wind at your back. Ride on in the sky Brother".
