Jeanette (Geohegan) Geurts found peace and tranquility on Wednesday, September 24, 2025 as she joined her family in heaven. Jen was born on August 11, 1925, and was blessed with 100 years on this Earth.

She was married to the love of her life, the late Harold "Sonny" Geurts, she was the twinkle in his eye. Together they had three wonderful children with big hearts and giving personalities. This is a testament to her parenting and life examples she presented. Family was everything to her, she loved and cherished her kids and supported them in all they did through their lives. You could always find her on the floor letting the grandkids crawl all over her and she always had a special ice cream treat for them when they were over. Her love was also shared with many cats that she spoiled through the years.

Her heart extended out to family and friends, and she was known for her Thursday open house. Everyone was invited for food and drink the door was always open. She always loved one good stiff Manhattan a night, and she could tell stories that would make you laugh so hard it would bring tears to your eyes. Jeanette enjoyed bowling and the fun that was had at the cabin up north with family and friends, especially the times spent with best friends, Jack and Joyce.

She is survived by her son, Jan "Bubsy" and Barb Geurts; son-in-law, Larry Lawniczak; grandchildren, Jeff (Sherry) Lawniczak, Julie Lawniczak, Melissa Geurts, Amy (Rob) Salesky; great-grandchildren, Maddy Lawniczak, Jacob (Meg) Lawniczak, Nathan Geurts (Sarah), Mariah (Brandon) Thoreson; great-great-grandchildren, Layla Thoreson, Raya Geurts; sister-in-law, Beth Geohegan; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Harold; children, Tom Geurts, Paula Lawniczak; grandson, Todd Geurts; siblings, Albert Geurts, Jan (Ethel) Geohegan, Nora (John) Hickey, Joseph (Mary Ruth) Geohegan, Paul Geohegan, Lois (Howard) Hickey; sister-in-law, Jeannine Geohegan.
