Jean Wenzel, an ideal of faith and love, peacefully departed from this earth on Easter morning, March 31, 2024, to reunite with her Heavenly Father. Born on March 19, 1937, to Mary and Franklin Waring in the small town of Niagra, Wisconsin. Jean embodied the virtues of compassion, devotion, and unwavering faith throughout her incredible 87 years of life.

Following her graduation from St. Mary's High School in 1956, Jean pursued her passion for caring for others by attending nursing school in Oshkosh. Later she received a BSN from UW – Green Bay. Graduating with honors in the early 90's, she embarked on a journey of service and compassion as a nurse and caregiver. A woman of profound faith, Jean's spiritual journey led her to pursue outreach with Women's Aglow, Trumpets of Glory, Whitehorse School of Ministry, Endtime Handmaiden and a Master's Degree in Divinity at (Shalom Bible School) in Des Moines, Iowa.

In a ceremony filled with love and promise, Jean married the love of her life, Jim Wenzel, at St. John's Church in Green Bay in May 1961. Together, they embarked on the adventure of parenthood, together having five children. As a devoted wife and mother, Jean dedicated herself to the well-being of her family, raising her children in Flintville, Wisconsin, with grit and resilience. Her commitment to their welfare extended beyond the home, as she tirelessly pursued a career in nursing for over three decades. Despite the challenges, Jean's unwavering love and support never faltered, illuminating the lives of all who knew her.

Armed with knowledge and conviction, she embarked on a mission to share the transformative power of faith with those in need, establishing a robust prison ministry that touched countless lives. Her unwavering commitment to spreading the message of God's love brought solace and hope to the hearts of many, leading many souls to redemption and salvation. Jean's contributions to her community extended far beyond the walls of the church, as she immersed herself in various charitable endeavors and church activities, including, prison ministry, volunteering at nursing homes, retreats, revivals, and mission work internationally. Her selfless dedication to serving others was a testament to her compassionate spirit and unwavering devotion to her Heavenly Father.

Jean leaves behind a cherished legacy that continues through her grandchildren and her great-grandchild, as a testament to her enduring love.

Survived by her beloved children, Paul (MaryJo) Wenzel, Dan (Karen) Wenzel, Mary (Jim) Rose, Joe (Julie) Wenzel; her grandchildren, Cassandra Wenzel, Andy Golliher, Tanner Wenzel, April Wenzel, Jenna Stromer, Brooke Wenzel, Aubree Wenzel, Jacob Rose, Jonathan Rose, Joshua Rose, Joseph Rose, Lucas Wenzel, Hailey Wenzel; a great-grandchild, Gracelyn; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jim; her daughter, Jenni; her parents; and her siblings, Buzz, George, Mary Fran.
