Janice "Jan" Claire (Halron) O'Brien passed away peacefully in her home surrounded by her family on Monday, May 12th, 2025.

Janice was born February 23, 1942 in Green Bay, Wisconsin to Lawrence and Irene (VanderGeeten) Halron. She was the third of five Halron children: Kenneth, Kathleen, Janice, Patricia, and Stephen.

She graduated from St. Joseph Academy in Green Bay. Shortly after, she met the love of her life, David O'Brien. On September 15th, 1962, Dave and Janice got married at St. Peter & Paul Catholic Church. In that same year, the young couple built their forever home just a block away from Lambeau Field. They lived there together their entire lives.

Janice worked at the Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame for 22 years before she retired. Janice loved to cook, she was famous for her Goulash, Chop Suey, & baking cutout Christmas Cookies. She also loved trips up north, music, and bowling. She went on to spend lots of years doing what she loved most: adventures with her grandkids, Kimberly, Kelsey Rae, Jonathan and Sarah. Between sporting events, school events, sleepovers in the summer, and Wednesday night family dinners, she always said that her favorite season of life was being a grandma. She also loved traveling the US with Dave and their best friends, Sharon & Gary Vanstraten.

Janice had an incredible amount of strength, love for all those around her, patience and kindness.

Janice is survived by her two children, daughter, Kelly Katers & son, Thomas O'Brien; four grandchildren, Kimberly Katers, Kelsey Rae (Taylor) Kelley, Jonathan "JT" O'Brien, and Sarah O'Brien; siblings Patricia (Norman) Leary and Stephen (Sandi) Halron; and sisters in law, Carol (Dick) Pleshek and Ann Halron; special friend, Wendy Wohr; friends, Dan & Annette Chavez; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

Janice is preceded in death by her husband Dave, son Kevin; her parents; siblings Kenneth Halron and Kathleen Madigan.
