Janice Maroszek, 80, of Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 16, 2024, surrounded by her loving family as she transitioned into God's kingdom. She was born on July 30, 1943 in Milwaukee, to Joseph and Beatrice (Van Steenbergen) Maciejewski.
Janice was united in marriage to Edwin "Deanie" Maroszek on September 12, 1964 at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Suamico. He preceded her in death on December 17, 1987. Together they had four children.
Throughout her life, Janice dedicated herself to various endeavors and jobs with unwavering devotion. She took great pride in her work and always strived for excellence. Of all the jobs Janice held, she was most proud of being a mother. Additionally, Janice devoted many years to babysitting, and found fulfillment in caring for others. Her compassionate nature extended beyond her professional life, as she volunteered at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, where she was a longtime member and served as a Eucharistic Minister, providing communion to many.
Janice found joy in life's simple pleasures, relishing moments spent at the cottage surrounded by nature's tranquility and playing games with loved ones during family gatherings. She loved watching the birds and squirrels from her rocking chair in the backyard and up north. Her strong faith was a cornerstone of her life, and she found solace in it from her earliest days until her final moments, devoutly praying the rosary until the end.
Janice eagerly anticipated the day she would be reunited with her beloved husband, Edwin, and son, Jayme, in heaven.
Janice was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend to many. She is survived by her children, Laurie; Randy (Wendy), and Gary (Loree); grandchildren, Jacob, Matthew, Lane, and Jase. She is further survived by her sisters, Marian (Clyde) Van Hemelryk, and Kathleen (Bob) McAllister; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Janice was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin; son, Jayme; parents, Joseph and Beatrice Maciejewski; and parents-in-law, Frank and Cecelia Maroszek.
