James "Jimmy" Zellner, 94, Howard, passed away Sunday, October 26, 2025. He was born July 24, 1931, in Luxemburg, WI to William and Katherine (Vanden Bush) Zellner.

James attended Luxemburg High School and was drafted in the U.S. Army. James served in the Korean War from 1951-1953. He was given the opportunity to be a part of the Honor Flight in April 2017. He proudly attended with his son-in-law, Mark and came back with many memories.

In 1954, he met the love of his life, Rosella Tilot and they married on November 11, 1954. They resided in Green Bay and then later Howard where they raised their four children.

James worked for the American Can Paper Mill/ James River Company where he retired in 1994 from their logistic department. James' work ethic had a strong impact on his children.

James remained busy after retirement and spent time with family bowling, camping, playing cards, traveling, and watching his favorite sports team, the Green Bay Packers. Many would agree he would care for his lawn as if it was a hobby. Come the holiday season you could find him decorating his yard with multiple holiday exhibits and light shows. He was proud to point out the parade of cars in front of his home enjoying his Christmas displays. James also enjoyed watching Johnny Carson and would keep his kids awake at night laughing so loud. James was grateful for the things he had but more than anything he loved his family and all the time spent with them.

He is survived by his children, Sue (Tim) Roskom, Bruce (Donna) Zellner, Brad (Beth) Zellner, Cheryl (Mark) Zeise; grandchildren, Amy, Ryan, Jason, Andy, Autumn, Karie, Adam, Katie, Chett; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Hunter, Maddie, Paige, Madison, Matthew, Jackson, Jonas, Kylie, Lily, Leo, Kolton, Liam, Levi, Elijah, Mika, Charlie; brother, Don (Rita) Zellner.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife, Rosella; parents, William and Katherine; siblings, Marilyn (Robert) Jossart, Archie (Beulah) Zellner, Aurelia (Gerald) Dalebroux, Doloris (Smitty) Worachek; sister-in-law, Bernice (Elmer) Van Frachen.
