James "Jim" Weise, 73, Green Bay, passed away Monday, March 9, 2020 with his family by his side. He was born on December 10, 1946, in Green Bay to Roland and Hildegard Helen (Laufer) Weise.
Jim proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War from 1966 to 1971. When he returned from service he was employed as a Brown County Deputy Sheriff and spent his career as Superintendent at Fort Howard Memorial Park for over 40 years; and running Jim's Repair Service and later Jim's Lawn Care and Snow Removal. Jim was a member of First Presbyterian Church.
Jim loved bowling and was on a league for over 30 years; playing cards, sheepshead, cribbage and rummy with his family; and was always up for a foosball game. He enjoyed old time country music and most of all playing with his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, James (Cheryl) Weise, Joe (Stacey) Weise, Justin (Jelena) Weise, Chad (Megan) Weise, Tyler (Mariah) Weise; former wife and friend, Esther Weise; 11 grandchildren, Brandi (Brad), Savanah (Will), Sarah (Adam), Becca (Jake), Sami, Ali, Anna, Lexus, Lailyn, Korbin, and Zella; great-grandson, Jack; 12 brothers and sisters, David (Pat) Weise, Del Weise, Carol Champeau, LouEllen Erickson, Ron (Russ Phillips) Weise, John (Angel) Weise, Butch (Nancy) Weise, Kerry Baker, Sharon DelMarcelle, Colleen Weise, MaryLou Weise-Funk, and Rick Weise.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Roland and Hildegard Weise; and two brothers, Michael and Elmer Weise.
Visitation will be at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15; followed by the Funeral Service at 3 p.m. at the funeral home.
