James "Boone" Salscheider

James "Boone" Salscheider, 60, Suamico, passed away Monday, August 10, 2026, with family by his side. He was born August 26, 1965, in Green Bay to Patrick and Louise (Hermes) Salscheider. 

Boone graduated from Bay Port High School and went on to attend UW - Stout. He went on to work as a cabinet maker and retired from CLS. He enjoyed playing and watching hockey. He was a huge 80's rock fan and played a mean tiny air guitar. Boone loved to be by the bay and spent any time he could hunting duck. He also enjoyed fishing. His greatest joy was his family and friends. Boone loved spending time with his ever-growing group of friends. He was dedicated to making time for those he loved. 

He is survived by his sons, Patrick (Ariel Sandoval) Salscheider, Max (Alma) Salscheider; brother, Craig Salscheider (Paula Wojcik) and his children, Katie, Karli, Keri (Brandon); sister, Amy (Jamie) Belisle and their children, Chase (Liz), Hope (Danny); special nephew, Tyler Hermes; and extended family and many friends. 

Boone was preceded in death by his parents, Patrick and Louise; and extended family.

Dear Lord, 

Thank you for the life of our Father, Son, Brother, Friend and Hunter. You knew his love for the cold dawn, the rustling reeds and the quiet of your marshes.

May the winds of heaven blow softly over his resting place. Keep his skies clear, his decoys set and his spirit wild and free.

Comfort his family and friends in our grief. Help us feel peace knowing he is in Your eternal care.
