James C. Marchand, 75, Little Suamico, died unexpectedly on Sunday, Dec. 31, 2017 from a blood clot. The son of Floyd and Gertrude (Breecher) Marchand was born on June 3, 1942, in Green Bay. James served in the U.S. Navy from 1960 to 1964. On June 3, 1961, he married Joyce Rogers in Green Bay.
James was a driver for ABF Trucking, retiring in 1999. He then started driving school bus for Lamers Bus Lines. James loved to putter around doing woodworking and enjoyed completing projects for anyone that asked him for one. He was always willing to lend a helping hand. His greatest enjoyment was spending time with his grandchildren.
James is survived by his wife, Joyce Marchand; three sons, Paul (Nicole) Marchand, Darren (Nancy) Marchand, Jeff Marchand; six grandchildren, James (fiancée, Sarah Bodart) Marchand, William Marchand, Stephanie (Tim) Egan, Austin Marchand, Collin Marchand, Eli Marchand; four great-grandchildren, Serenity, Brookelynne, Kaydyn, and Lucas; three brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law, Darold (Rosie), Carl (Linda) Rogers, Ken (Chris) Rogers, Elaine (Rich) Zahorik, Janice (Dave) VanHorn, Betty Rogers; nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Pam (Darold) DeGrand; and brother-in-law, Marvin Rogers.
