James (Jim) H. Kaye, 92, of Green Bay, beloved husband, father and grandfather, passed away on Thursday, January 19, 2023 in Florida, while staying with family.

He was born in Green Bay to Clarence and Helen (Deprey) Kaye on May 1, 1930.  He went to school at Catholic Central High School and graduated in 1949. After high school, he served his country in the US Air Force during the Korean War.  After service, he met Rita on a blind date and they were married on October 20, 1956 at St. Kilian Church in New Franken.  Jim and Rita spent their entire married life in Green Bay.  He worked in service for AM Multigraphics for 35 years.  During their retirement years, Jim and Rita wintered in Ocala, FL where they met many lifelong friends.

Jim enjoyed going to their cabin where he could fish and hunt.  He had a passion for many sports: baseball (especially the Brewers), basketball, football, and hockey (but not soccer).  He loved cocktail hours with all his family and friends.  He loved to tell stories, listen to polkas, play cards, and make more memories.

Throughout his life, Dad was a very generous person.  He was always willing to help anyone on any type of project.  He was a loving husband and loved his children and grandchildren dearly.  His genuine warmth and generosity made everyone feel welcome at the Kaye house.  Jim and Rita were members of St. Agnes Church for over 60 years.

He will forever be loved by his five children: Terry Utecht, Joe (Jody) Kaye, Tony (Julie) Kaye, Andy (Mardi) Kaye and Curt (Becky) Kaye. Along with his grandchildren: Matt, Brittany, Ryan, Scotty, Dylan, Garret, Maddie (Alex), Anna, and Lilly. He leaves two brothers-in-law's: Al (Lee) Heim and Lloyd (Caroline) Heim.  Jim also leaves many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many close friends from Green Bay and Florida.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife Rita on May 20th 2022, his parents Clarence and Helen Kaye, his brother Harold Kaye, sister-in-law Lorraine (Jack) Simons, and infant granddaughter Ashley Utecht.
