James Dean "Jim" Doherty, 60, Green Bay, passed away peacefully on Friday, March 3, 2023. The son of the late Margaret (Pleau) Gauerke and David A. Doherty was born on July 22, 1962.

James was an incredibly kind, sweet, and gentle man who made friends wherever he went.  He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan.  He also enjoyed watching Westerns on TV and playing pool.  James loved to go out to eat.  Chicken and Pizza were his favorites, and always with coffee.

James is survived by his sisters, Lisa (Kirt) Schmidt, Appleton, Lorie Doherty, Appleton, Valerie Doherty, Stevenson, MI:  Special Uncle, Larry "Junior" (Sherry) Pleau and their children, Renee Swanson, Shelly Peterson, Scott Pleau, Tracy Pleau (and her kids, Leah, Kayla, Jaden, Jade).   They were James's 2 ^nd family.  Aunt Lin (Tom) Reiter, niece Tracy Andrews; special family friends, Janice and Julie Demille; Many Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, Nephews, and cousins, and special friend, Heaven.

He was preceded in death by his parents: as well as grandparents Della (Vine) Pleau and Lawrence Pleau, and special friend Clara Johnson.

James' ashes will be laid to rest at Oconto Catholic Cemetery on Thursday, April 6 at 10:30 a.m.  A private family gathering will be held at a later date.   To send online condolences, please visit www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com .
