Ignacio "Nacho" Saldana, 55, of Green Bay, WI, passed away on Tuesday, January 24 , 2023, at his home. He was born on December 17 , 1967, in Bluffton, OH, to Ignacio and Petra Saldana.

Nacho will be remembered by his family and friends as a generous and fun-loving spirit who had a passion for cooking, hunting, fishing, and golfing. When he had the opportunity, Nacho enjoyed spending his time surrounded by the peacefulness of his favorite hunting or fishing spot, experimenting in the kitchen, or the camaraderie out on the golf course with friends and family.

Fishing was Nacho's greatest passion and it brought him true peace and happiness. Whether he was out on the river or lake, frozen or not, he would spend hours catching his limit of salmon, walleye, pan fish or any other species of fish that were in season. After catching his limit, Nacho would often share his catch with friends and family, rarely keeping the fish for himself to enjoy. Nacho not only found joy in sharing his catch with others, but he also loved to share his passion by taking his friends and loved ones out on fishing trips whenever he had the chance.

Nacho's love and passion for cooking shined through in all the meals he prepared. He was always generously sharing his dishes with those around him and was known for his ability to transform even the simplest of meals into a homemade dish that was sure to impress. Nacho's culinary talents shined through in all his dishes, but especially in his homemade salsa, tamales, eggrolls, and chili, which were all made with fresh ingredients and often shared with friends and family. Even when he wasn't cooking for a crowd, Nacho loved to whip up a quick homemade meal for himself and his loved ones, always taking the time to ensure it was prepared to perfection and with the freshest ingredients.

Alongside his passion for fishing and cooking, Nacho also had love for the game of golf. He was always eager to join in a charity golf event, head to the course for a quick 9 holes, or spend the morning playing a full 18 holes. Whether, hitting the course for a quick 9, a full 18, or dedicating an entire day to help raise money for a local charity, Nacho simply loved being on the course and spending the time with his friends and family.

While this is only a small glimpse into Nacho's 55 years of life, we celebrate and cherish all the many wonderful memories that we all have shared with him. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him, especially his family and friends.
