It is with profound sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of Hunter Posey, 27, on August 21, 2026. Born on January 4th, 1999, in Green Bay, Wisconsin. Hunter was the daughter of John Posey and Tisha (Posey) Kuhn.

Hunter grew up in the Howard Suamico School district and attended Bay Port High School where she made many friends. She graduated from the WI National Guard Challenge Academy, of which she was immensely proud.

Hunter was a sweet and compassionate person. She had a soft and loving soul that sometimes found difficulty living in a hard world. She was fiercely loyal, spoke her mind, and stood up for what she believed was right. She loved her children more than anything; her time was best spent with them, and she was always captivated by their quick wit and the creativeness they shared together. She often spent hours with them making art, doing crafts, and encouraging them to be all they could be and more.

Hunter was many things to many people, and while her head could sometimes be in the clouds, she was also remarkably down to earth. She loved incredibly deeply, and to be her true friend was to be accepted into her heart as family. Hunter had a way of making everyone she met feel comfortable. Her small laugh could light up a room and will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of hearing it. She loved the culture of Wisconsin, music, art, and had far too many interests to ever list.

She walked this world for a moment in time, but the world was a much better place because of the light she brought into it, however briefly.

Hunter is survived by her two children, Sebastian & Stevie Lecker and their father; sister. Becca Posey; her parents, Tisha (Greg) Kuhn and John (Erin Stender) Posey; her paternal grandparents, Patrick & Joan Posey; uncles, Troy Christensen, Jerry (Debra) Posey, Kurt (Birgit) Posey; aunt Maria (Fred) LaCourt and many close cousins.

Hunter was further survived by her other "Aunties" Danielle and Stacy; Godparents Bree and Chad Decker; and close friends, Brianna Wells, Levi Gustason and Jacob Jaeger.

Hunter was preceded in death by her maternal Grandmother, Becky Devroy; maternal Great-Grandmother, Joanne Williquette, and Uncle Eric Posey.

Hunter's family remains grateful for all the kindness and support already shown and continues to ask for privacy and compassion during this difficult time.
