Harold "Mick" Milton King, 85, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, April 2, 2026. He was born Sept. 30, 1940 in Green Bay to Fletcher and Elizabeth (Van CampenHout) King.
Harold graduated from Pulaski High School. On November 23, 1963, he married Bernadine Novitski at Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Pulaski. Harold was always a truck driver and started out as an over the road driver for American Van Lines. After the birth of his children, he started driving for H. C. Prange and Younkers to be home more with his family. After 36 years he retired from Younkers. He was a longtime member of St. Jude Parish and served as an usher. Harold loved spending time with his family and always kept busy cooking and woodworking. He wasn't a bad cook, but he baked amazing cookies. Harold was never without a project; he was constantly putzing and crafting small necessities like clothing hangers for all of the dolls clothes. Harold loved having his grandchildren help with woodworking projects that were almost always a gift for them. When Harold finally sat down, he enjoyed watching old western movies and loved watching John Wayne. There were a select few that were his favorites and they found themselves on repeat.
He is survived by his wife, Bernadine; son and daughters-in-law, Christopher "Chip" and Corrine King and their children, Elexis, Ethan (Jordyn); son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Valerie King and their children, Taylor, Elizabeth (Corey), Katelyn; siblings, Leo King, and Jean Paluch; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Harold is preceded in death by his parents, and the King and Cooney siblings.
Friends and family will gather at St. Jude Parish, 1420 Division St., from 9:30am to 11am on Thursday, April 9; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11am. Burial will be in Nicolet Memorial Gardens. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
