Harold J. Gerondale, 77, Green Bay, died Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008, at a local hospital. He was born April 14, 1930, in Brussels, Wis., to Frank and Libbie (Tebon) Gerondale. On Aug. 20, 1949, he married Joyce Hansen at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Harold had been employed as a machine tender at Fort Howard Paper Company for 38 years before retiring in 1990. He was a member of the Fort Howard Quarter Century Club and the Fort Howard Key Club. Mr. Gerondale was an avid fisherman and hunter.

Survivors include his wife, Joyce; a son and daughter-in-law, Glenn and Lynn Gerondale, Plymouth; a daughter-in-law, Joyce Gerondale, Howard; six grandchildren and their spouses, Chantel (Shon) Lee, Casey (Crystal) Gerondale, Justin Gerondale, Ron Gerondale; Lt. Sara Jansch and her husband, Capt. David Jansch, Alexandria, Va.; Ben Gerondale, Howard; four great-grandchildren, Cody, Caleb, Markeysha, Alek; a sister and brother-in-law, Esther (Norbert) Jeanquart, Brussels; his twin brother and a sister-in-law, Darrell and Della Gerondale, Cincinnati, Ohio; three sisters-in-law, Carol Gerondale, Suamico; Alice Gerondale, Three Lakes; Mel Gerondale, Green Bay; a sister-in-law and her husband, Bev (Roland) Handlen, Green Bay; nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a son, Ronald Gerondale; two brothers, Elmer and Fred Gerondale; a sister-in-law and her husband, Bernice and Earl Martin.

Friends may call at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Friday. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Friday at the church with the Rev.
