Grace Faye Desotell, 93, Green Bay, passed away Monday, December 2, 2024.  She was born on March 6, 1931, in De Pere to Louis and Nancy (Pries) Aerts.  On Sept. 1, 1956, Grace was united in marriage to Norbert Desotell at St. Francis Catholic Church.  Together they shared 64 remarkable years until his passing on March 16, 2021.

Grace was hard working and always needed to stay busy.  She worked from the age of 12 to 72 in various jobs from Schreiber Cheese, attorneys' offices, Employers Health and as a nursing home administrator for her sister-in-law, Helen.  She was always willing to offer assistance, even in her later years.

In Grace's free time she loved spending time at her place in Little Sturgeon where she enjoyed going out on the boat. She loved to sew and even sewed her own wedding and bridesmaid dresses.  She loved to play cards and go out to eat with her family and friends. On most Sundays she would be at the game cheering on the Packers. Christmas was her favorite holiday.

Grace is survived by her sister, Eva (Jim) Schumerth; sisters-in-law, Mary Desotell and Shirley Aerts; many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Sharon; siblings, Marvin (Fern)(Chesterine) Aerts, Earl (Jean Ann) Aerts, Reuben (Edith) Aerts, Victor (Jeanie) Aerts, Adrian Aerts, Maxine Aerts, Kenneth Aerts, and Nancy (James) Seyler; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law,  Hazel Fraschilla, Ralph (Marie) Desotell, Ronald (Helen) Desotell, Grace (Norb) Bergman, Dean Desotell, Eleanor (Vernon) Rossow, and Janice Desotell.

Friends may call at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, 2771 Oakwood Dr., from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. Friday at the church with Rev. Donald Everts officiating. Burial will be in Allouez Catholic Cemetery.
