Gordon "Gordy" Hanke, longtime resident of Green Bay, 84, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, in La Crosse, WI.

He was born on August 1, 1940, in Manitowoc, WI to the late Carl and Anita (Manz) Hanke.

Gordon went to Kiel High School until he joined the Marine Corp in 1958. He married Neva Trinka on January 26, 1974. Gordon was employed at Western Lime and Cement where he worked for over 25 years. He enjoyed camping, Friday night bingo, being outdoors, and being a grandpa to his three granddaughters.

Gordon is survived by his sons, Mark (Jennifer) Hanke and Matt Heesacker; grandchildren, Everly, Ryleigh, and Hadley Heesacker; sisters, Barb Heinen, Carmen Hanke; brothers-in-law, Bob (Ann) Trinka, Dave Zambon, Larry Bradley; and many nieces and nephews. Gordon is preceded in death by his many siblings; Helen, Marian, Johanna, Harold, and Albert Hanke as well as his wife of 44 years, Neva.

Friends may call at Fort Howard Memorial Park, 1350 N Military Ave., from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 25 followed by the Memorial Service with Military Honors at 10:00 a.m.  Blaney Funeral Home is assisting the family.
