Gloria Ann (Kinney) (Jorgensen) Shea, 88, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, May 25, 2023. She was born December 21, 1934, in Green Bay to Daniel and Gladys (Denis) Kinney.
Gloria attended Oak Grove School and later St. Philip Grade School. She attended Washington Junior High before graduating from East High School in 1953. Her first job was at Northern Paper Mill. She later worked for 12 years at Kellogg Citizens Bank before being hired at West Side State Bank. Gloria later worked at Skogg Realty. Gloria was involved in the community and belonged to a number of organizations, including The Shamrock Club of Northeastern Wisconsin, The Green Bay/De Pere Antiquarian Society and the Antique Study Club. She was also a member of the Green Bay Yacht Club and was fond of her boat, the Magnificent Obsession. Gloria was a member of the "Going Rogue" Red Hatters. However, her real passion was music. She was an accomplished singer. While at Washington Middle School, she sang the title role in the opera "Kathleen". She appeared in five musicals directed by Russ Widoe. Gloria sang with the Chantelles and the M & M Singers and sang at many weddings. After moving to Florida, she continued singing in countless musicals in Nettles Island, FL. She also sang with the St. Lucie Opera Society.
She is survived by her godson, Paul Murray; grandchildren, David (Jennifer), Peter (Mindy), Jennifer (Matthew), Bryan (Doreen), Jeff (Danica), Nicole; great-grandchildren, Edward, Sam, Holly, John Jr., Isaac, Alivia, Jaronn, Cameron, Brady; four great-great-grandchildren; sister, Kathleen (John) Heezen; brothers, Dennis Kinney, Calvin (Gerry) Kinney; step-daughter, Patricia (Larry) Jaeger; sister-in-law, Judy (Tom) Kuckkahn; many nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
Gloria was preceded in death by her first husband, Gerald Jorgensen; second husband, Dr. John Shea; dear friend, Robert L. Geurts; parents, Daniel and Gladys; sisters, Colleen (Kenneth) Murray, Ione McGrath-Smith; brother, Michael Kinney; granddaughter, Tami Storms; goddaughter, Amanda Kinney; step-daughter, Bobbi Sue (Brown) Baranczyk; father and mother-in-law, Carl "Bud" (Adell) Jorgensen, longtime trainer for the Green Bay Packers; sister-in-law, Ruth Jorgensen.
Friends and family will gather at St. Agnes Catholic Church, 1484 Ninth St., from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, May 31; Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11 a.m. with Rev. Patrick C. Beno officiating. Services will be livestreamed at https://www.youtube.com/@stagnesgreenbay5132/streams Entombment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established in Gloria's name.
