Gertrude "Dee" Marie Solway, 88, Green Bay, died peacefully at a local nursing home on Tuesday, December 20, 2022. Dee was born on January 3, 1934 in Menominee, MI to the late John and Dorothy (Cory) Hannon.

Dee graduated from Green Bay East High School in 1952. She worked at Red Owl and McDonald's before her retirement. Dee was a member of St. Jude Parish as well as St. Jude's Special Friends Group. She liked to play bingo, sheepshead, and knit. Dee's family was her pride and joy. She enjoyed spending time with them, especially watching her grandchildren at their events. We will not only miss her, but also her stuffing at Thanksgiving time.

Dee is survived by her four children, Steven Solway, Mike (Kathy) Solway, Debbie (Teresa Van Ess) Solway, Linda (Perry) Paul; five grandchildren, David (Melissa) Solway, Sarah Solway, Beth (special friend Jared Jordan) Solway, Amanda (Ryan) Fuchs, Katarina (fiancé Dan Cushing) Paul; three great grandchildren, Emerson and Graham Solway, and Logan Fuchs; two nephews, Pat and DJ Peterson; as well as her ex-husband, Lawrence Solway who together adopted the four children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Carol Peterson; and nephew, Greg Peterson.

A memorial service celebrating Dee's life will be held at Blaney Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 28. Visitation will be from 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. with the memorial service being held at 11:30 a.m. Inurnment will be in Allouez Chapel Mausoleum.
