Geraldine (Komorosky) Martin, 95, passed away Monday, March 6, 2023. She was born May 12, 1927, in Manitowoc, WI to Antone and Julia Komorosky.

After High School she worked at the Boston Store and Wisconsin Bell Telephone Co. in Green Bay. She later moved to Chicago with a friend and worked at Time and Life Magazine. She also worked at the bank where she had met some well-known celebrities like Ronald Reagan!

She then moved back to Green Bay, WI where she worked for the Caterpillar Co. and then she met her future husband, Earl Martin. Geraldine married Earl J. Martin on September 17, 1955.

They had 4 children together and my mom's greatest pride was being a mother. Her first child and son, James had Cerebral Palsy and she took care of him for 35 years until he decided it was time to move into an independent living facility. This was very difficult for her to let him go but knew this would give him his independence. She was such a strong lady and she never once complained about having to care for Jim. She also was so proud to be a grandma and great grandma, watching those kids grow up just gave her the biggest smiles. Right up to the end of life when those kids came into the room she lit up!

She enjoyed their lake cottage they had built, and she loved to boat and just relax at the lake. When she wanted to go shopping, she either got on her bike or walked over to the nearest store. She continued to ride her bike up until she was in her late 80's! Shopping was also her favorite thing to do, and boy could she find the deals!

We are so thankful to have her around for so long and she had a very healthy life for many years.

She is survived by her children, Carol, Donna (Dale) Breitenfeldt, Jeffrey (Shannon) Martin; grandchildren, Kelly, April (Rick), Amy (Andrew), Tyler, Briana (Andy), Kyle, Grace, and Chase; great-grandchildren, Maciah, Ariel, Aurora, Anthony, Ava, and Kelsey.

Geraldine was preceded in death by her husband, Earl; son, James Martin; parents, Antone and Julia; brother Gerald, sister Betty and parents-in-law, Earl and Alma.

Private services will be held at Blaney Funeral Home as per her request.
