Geraldine "Geri" G Kennedy, 91, Green Bay, passed away Thursday, February 27, 2025. She was born March 8, 1933, in Ironwood, MI to David and Thelma Larson.
Geri liked the colors blue and yellow. She loved to bake and cook, and she was particularly partial to Brussel sprouts. At holiday dinners we would always try a new Brussel sprouts recipe. Going through her recipe books we collected over 25 Brussel sprout recipes. During the holiday seasons and especially at Christmas, she was known as the Cookie Queen. Every year she would share over 1000 cookies with her friends and family.
Geri gave back to her community, volunteering at St. Vincent Hospital registration, donating her time to special needs kids and the local ballet dance programs.
She had a flair for fashion which she passed on to her daughter Andrea, a clothing and jewelry designer. She instilled compassion in her son Robin, an Emergency Room Doctor. To her daughter, Jane she passed on her love of dance and the secrets of being a great mom. Geri was best friends with daughter Katie, and family friend, Father Jim Neilson.
Geri raised her four children with love and imagination. She "adopted" people into her family - you know who you are. She made us laugh. She always said "I love you". She made all of those who knew her better people.
Geri is survived by her son, Robin Serrahn (Carol Wilder); daughters, Katie Serrahn (Eileen McCoy), Andrea Serrahn (John Allen), and Jane Serrahn. She is also survived by her grandchildren. Geri is further survived by Patrick's daughter, Sherry Kennedy; and his son, Richard Kennedy.
She is preceded in death by the love of her life, Patrick Neil Kennedy; his sons, David and Michael Kennedy.
Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 6; Funeral Service to follow at 11 a.m. with Father Jim Neilson officiating. Entombment will be in Nicolet Memorial Garden. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
