Gerald Francis LaFave, age 85, died April 28th. Jerry was born on Oct. 13, 1937 in Boulder Junction, WI to Frank & Anna (Marvin) LaFave. He suffered from Alzehimer's/Dementia since 2018.

Jerry attended Newman High School in Wausau, WI where he played football & was a star basketball player graduating in 1956. On June 22, 1957 he married his high school sweetheart, Arlene Guralski at St. Michaels Catholic Church in Wausau. For many years he operated 2 Phillip's 66 full-service stations and in 1977 moved to Green Bay to become an Archway Cookie distributor known as "The Cookie Man". From then on all his jobs involved driving a car, stepvan, or motorcoach. Loving driving so much, he ended his career at Lubenow Logistics. He enjoyed keeping his lawn in tip-top condition. The same went for his 3.5 car wide driveway for snow removal; so much so a neighbor thought it was heated.

A member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church since 1977 where he was a part time janitor for a short period & also chairman of the parish picnic for 9 years. He was a dedicated supporter of the American Red Cross and donated blood regularly throughout his life being a proud 30-gallon blood donor, having selflessly given his blood to help save countless lives.

He loved his family very much and enjoyed spending time at The Shack in Boulder Junction, WI where he was born and the famous Dr. Kate Newcome delivered him. They also camped throughout WI and the U.S. His winter sport was snowmobiling. He also enjoyed playing sheepshead and the marble game. In later years Jerry & Arlene spent 18 years in a travel trailer on a permanent site at a campground from May-Oct. in Sturgeon Bay/Door County.

He will be sadly missed by his loving wife Arlene LaFave of 65 years, his daughters Kim (Carl) Frisque & Krista (Jeff) Zenner, grandchildren Amber Jaeger, Laura (Nick) Wilmot, Carlene (Jordan) LaPlant, & Brennen (Morgan) Frisque, & two great-grandsons Beckett & Brooks LaPlant.

He was preceded in death by his parents & in-laws Leonard & Margaret Guralski, sisters Elsie Lobermeier & Betty Frodl, brothers Ray & Robert LaFave & brother-in-law Perry Guralski.
