Gerald "Jerry" Edward Kern, 84, Sobieski, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025. He was born January 31, 1941, in Green Bay to Levi and Bernice Catherine (Gerrits) Kern.

Jerry graduated from Premontre High School. He worked at National Can for over 30 years before becoming a courier at Firstar Bank for a short time. It was there he met his future wife, Pat Hylok, and the two married on June 25, 2001. Jerry enjoyed fishing, especially with his kids and grandkids. Jerry was known for beating everyone at cards and games such as Farkle and Croquet. He had a quiet, competitive side and was a very kind and gentle man. He was a great listener and had an incredible memory. Jerry loved his family and was extremely proud of his children and their achievements.

He is survived by his wife, Pat; children shared with Janet Kern, Mike (Wanda) Kern, Marc (Barbara) Kern, Lisa (Bill) McNee; step-daughter, Stephanie (Harry) Davis; grandchildren, Garrett (Allie) Kern, Larkin Kern, Morgan Kern, Alex Kluball, Brian (Wendy) Kluball, Ben McNee, Kyle McNee, Freedom (Nick) Smith, Tabitha (Jake) Slagle; great-grandchildren, Rachel Kluball, Finnley Smith, Stephen Slagle, Benjamin Slagle; sisters, Carol Lancaster, Mary Anderson; sisters-in-law, Jean Thomson, Sally (Ron) Lupien, Dee Blom; brothers-in-law, Pete McHugh, Bill LaBrosse, Ralph (Kyong) LaBrosse, Tom LaBrosse; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, Levi and Bernice Kern; brothers-in-law, Carl Lancaster, Keith Anderson, Robert "Bob" Thomson, Dave Blom; sisters-in-law, Mary (Tom) Shepro, Delores "Scottie" LaBrosse, Laverne "Bernie" McHugh.
