Gerald "Zip" J. Scray Sr, 91, passed away Thursday, November 2, 2023. He was born February 3, 1932, to Louis F. and Cora L. (Rodaer) Scray.

Zip graduated from Green Bay West High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served from 1951 to 1953. Zip married Mildred Heuer in 1954. Together they welcomed two children into the world. In 1967 he married Karen Drake and together they welcomed five children. He married Gail (Crary) Bellisle in 1978. Zip retired from Tweet Garot. Zip was very handy and was proud of building his own garage. He was an avid bowler and played in multiple leagues. He enjoyed going to car shows and taking trips to the casino. Zip had a great sense of humor and loved to go for car rides in his restored cars while listening to Johnny Cash.

He is survived by his children, Judy (Rick) Hernke, Gary (Judy) Scray, Lisa (Jim) Roderick, Gerald Jr. (Carrie) Scray, Bonnie (Jerry Mann) Scray, Jeff (Tina) Scray, Kevin (Holly) Scray; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Jerome Scray, Loretta VanDenElzen, Delores Kaminski; many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Zip was preceded in death by his wife, Karen; wife, Gail; parents, Louis and Cora; brothers, Bernard Scray and Gordon Scray; grandson, Nicholas Belanger

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7; Funeral Service to follow at 8 p.m. with Military Honors to conclude the service.
