George Mollet, age 71, of Green Bay, WI, passed away on August 22, 2025. He was born on April 5, 1954, in Green Bay to Charles and Harriet (Hanrahan) Mollet. A proud graduate of Southwest High School, Class of 1973, George enjoyed his time on the football field, the wrestling mat, and running relays on the track during his school years.

A lifelong traveler of the open road, he spent many years as a dedicated truckdriver—logging countless miles, collecting stories, and never quite losing his fondness for the hum of an engine. When he wasn't working, he found joy and freedom on his Harley, embracing the simple pleasure of the wind on his face and the road stretching out ahead.

Though he wasn't one for long speeches, he had a way of making people feel welcome. He was kind, well-liked, and he could always be counted on to share a laugh—sometimes even at his own expense. He lived life on his own terms, finding joy in the ride, the road, and the people along the way.

He is survived by his children, Marlee (Nick) Schlief and Ethan (Mackenzie Webster) Mollet; his grandchildren, Madelyn and Merrick Schlief; step-grandchild, Joshua Schlief; and his siblings, Ellen Berns, Jean McCormick, John (Leslie) Mollet, Margaret (Gary) Piantek, and Bernie (Lucy) Mollet. He also leaves behind his brother-in-law, Pat Bentz, and his sister-in-law, Linda Mollet; as well as many nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews, and friends who will fondly remember his easy-going nature and ready smile. He was preceded in death by his parents, his special partner, Judy DuFour, and siblings Don Mollet, Beth Mollet, Ken Mollet, Milton Mollet, Karen Bentz, and Rick Mollet, as well as sister-in-law Mary (Betty) Mollet and brother-in-law Gary Berns.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., on Friday, September 5 from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. when a memorial service for George will be held. A celebration of George's life will be held Saturday, September 6 in the Hog Barn at Doc's Harley-Davidson, W2709 State Hwy 29, Bonduel, WI 54107 from noon until 5:00 p.m. In his honor, we invite you to share your favorite stories, jokes, and memories—because if there was one thing he'd want, it would be for everyone to leave with a smile.
