Gary H. Heigl, 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 2, 2022, surrounded by his loving family.  He was born on September 6, 1955, to Harold and Claudette (Grant) Heigl.  Gary graduated from Premontre High School in Green Bay and continued his education at the University of Wisconsin -Madison earning a Bachelor's Degree, and he later went on to earn a Master's Degree. Gary was a successful commercial real estate executive on a national and global scale.  His dedication and integrity led to many advancements in his career ultimately leading him to create a business, WH&H Realty Advisors, with his son, Peter.

On January 7, 1977, he married Mary Brock and together they raised their two children, Peter and Katie. As a family, they created endless memories at their cottage on Legend Lake where all were invited.  Gary was a lifelong sports fan and loved supporting his alma mater and his hometown Green Bay Packers. He grew up playing sports which continued throughout his life.  In his younger years, he enjoyed playing basketball in a Sunday night rec league which transitioned to tee times on the golf course as he got older - both with some of his lifelong friends.

Most recently, Gary enjoyed living in Estero, Florida where he built a house for his family and six beautiful grandkids to enjoy.  While in Florida, he enjoyed spending time with his two sisters – Michelle and Deb – and their families who also had homes nearby.  He was also a member at The Forest Country Club where he enjoyed spending time with friends.

Gary will be sadly missed by his son and daughter and their families: Peter and Annie Heigl and their children, Quinn, Blake and Reid; Katie and Brian Biesterveld and their children, Brady, Lucy and Jordy.  He is further survived by his mother, Claudette; his siblings, Pamela (Michael) Staszak, Michelle (Steve) Vermeulen, Debra (Patrick) Goepel, Renee Heigl, Heidi Van Den Plas; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Harold Heigl.

Visitation will be at St. Jude Catholic Church, 1420 Division St., from 1 to 3 p.m. Monday, March 7.  The Mass of Christian Burial will be at 3 p.m. Monday at the church.  To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com .

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the ALS Association in Gary's name ( www.als.org/donate ).

The Heigl family extends their gratitude to the staffs of Unity Hospice, Home Instead and The ALS Chapters of Florida and Wisconsin and to the many friends and family that supported and showed love to Gary and his family during this difficult time.
