Gabriela Ivonne Gonzalez Torres, 54, Gillett, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023. She was born August 24, 1968, in Chihuahua, Mexico to Raul Gonzalez Mendias and Andrea Munoz Chavez.

Gabriela was a model in her younger years. She also spent time working at a bank. It was there that Jose walked in and couldn't help but notice how beautiful she was. He repeatedly returned to the bank just to see her and one day he built up the courage to start a conversation by offering her the tastiest cheese Chihuahua had to offer. From that moment on, they began their life together. In 1991, she and Jose were married. Soon after, they started their family welcoming their children Raul and Diana. As a family, they traveled to Wisconsin years later. Gabriela worked as a teacher's aid and translator at Bonduel Elementary School starting in 1999. She loved her job and the people she worked with. In 2012, Gabriela's health made it difficult for her to continue working. She focused her energy on healing and spending time with her children and family. She enjoyed taking drives in the car and admittedly had a bit of a lead foot. She loved to listen to various music artists and ballads. She and Jose would put on music and dance together. Her favorite songs to listen to were the Streets of Heaven by Sherrie Austin and Olvidame y Pega la Vuelta by Pimpinela. Gabriela was an adamant fan of the TV show NCIS. Her children could count on the fact that upon walking in the house to greet her, NCIS would be on the TV in the background. Gabriela loved food and sharing meals with her family. Neapolitan ice cream was her go-to dessert. Her greatest joy was being a mom and grandma. She was so proud of her children and grandchildren. Best of all, she had the brightest laugh and most gorgeous smile. She is now gracing the streets of heaven with her contagious laugh and smile.

She will be sadly missed by her loving family.

Gabriela was preceded in death by her father, Raul Gonzalez Mendias.

"Dios mio, te has llevado la persona que más amaba en este mundo; pero tu lo has querido así, cumplase en todo tú santísima voluntad el gran consuelo que me queda es la esperanza de que. Tú la hayas recibido en el seno de tu misericordia en el seno de tu misericordia,y que te dignaras algún dia a unirnos con ella."
