Fremen Joseph Steeno, 89, Coleman, passed away Monday, May 22, 2023. He was born November 24, 1933, in Green Bay to Alfred and Lillian (Dionne) Steeno.

On December 5, 1953, Fremen married Jeanette Gagnon, who he affectionately called "Honey Bunny". He was a member of the Local 8 Ironworkers and was known as "Black Bart" among coworkers and friends. Fremen was involved in the building of Fort Howard Paper Mill, James River Paper Mill, Tower Drive Bridge and many more. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, singing, and playing the harmonica. Fremen loved his Ford vehicles.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette; children, Cindy (Jim) Ferrington, Debby (Tom) LaCount, Pam Van Den Eng, Shelly (special friend, Bill Perron) Steeno, Tim Steeno, Gary (Pattie) Steeno, Jamie (Lacey) Steeno; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; brother, Linus (Miki) Steeno; sister-in-law, Gerri Steeno; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Fremen was preceded in death by his sons, Randy and Tommy Steeno; parents, Alfred and Lillian; son-in-law, Pat Van Den Eng; daughter-in-law, Tracy Steeno; granddaughter, Christine Ferrington; great-granddaughter, Tiana Steeno; siblings, Eunice (Tom) Lawniczak, Joyce (Louis) Fournier, Bill Steeno, Don (Betty) Steeno, Shirley (Mike) Marinan, Marcie (James) Kramer.
