Franklin "Frank" Vernon Lozier, 83, Howard, passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025. He was born September 8, 1942, in Chicago, Il to Francis and Vera (Boucher) Lozier.
Frank graduated from Marinette High School. After graduation he enlisted in the U.S. Army. He proudly served for three years and was stationed in Korea and Geneva, NY. Frank married Mary Desotell on June 20, 1964 and together they had two daughters. After his time in the service the family settled in Green Bay. Frank started work at the Texaco Terminal in Green Bay. He enjoyed his time there and often talked about many of the good times. He then started work at Morley Murphy where he sold Frigidaire Appliances. He loved that job and made many lasting friendships. Before retiring he worked for Dey Distributing. Frank was a natural people person making him a great salesperson. He made friends wherever he went and loved to laugh, tease, and joke. Frank was always a helpful handyman and jack-of-all trades. He was a man of faith and simple pleasures. He cherished the yearly trips to Minocqua -making it a family tradition and enjoyed the drive to Door County and to the U.P for fall colors. Frank was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, he was actively involved in their interest and made an effort to make memories with them. Frank looked forward to having coffee with his friend, Bob, taking family trips, and showing his grandchildren coin tricks. He was an excellent baker of chocolate chip cookies and was never one to say no to a good bowl of soup. Frank will be missed by many but one of the things he will be remembered for and missed tremendously for was his stories he told to his daughters, grandchildren, and friends. They can find comfort knowing that God must have needed him. His time spent making memories with family and friends will forever be cherished and will fondly be remembered whenever the little things in life are enjoyed. A cup of coffee with a friend, a bowl of soup, a tasty cookie, fall colors, a good game of Jokers and Pegs with close friends were some of the small things he taught his grandchildren to enjoy.
He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters, Kay (William) Brey, Kim (David) Burkel; grandchildren, Brian (Kelsey), Adam, Amanda (Nathan); great-grandchildren, Barrett, Callen; siblings, Mary (Donald) Cairns, Nancy Lozier, Robert (Mary) Lozier, Ric (Marguerite) Lozier, Claire (Richard) Anderson, Susie Hasenfus; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
