Frank L. Goodale, 68, Green Bay, ran into the arms of Our Loving Savior on Monday, September 30, 2024. He was born on November 2, 1955 in St. Louis, Missouri to Henry "Orville" and Pauline (Jones) Goodale.
Frank graduated from Illmo-Scott City High School in Scott City, Missouri, Class of 1974. Frank followed his lifelong call of ministry and was ordained as a pastor in the Assemblies of God Church. Frank first served as a Youth Pastor and then became Senior Pastor of a small church in Byng, OK. In 1990 Frank took a position as Senior Pastor at Christian Life Assembly in Bagdad, AZ. During that time, Frank also worked at a copper mine in Bagdad. On September 18, 1991, Frank was driving a 120-ton ore truck into the mine when a brake failure caused an accident that would forever change his life. This, however, never dampened his faith, and Frank continued to live a God-centered life, kept a positive attitude, and never lost his sense of humor.
Frank met Candy Bailey in 2007 while he was living in Arizona. After moving to Candy's hometown of Green Bay, WI, they were married on October 18, 2008. Frank was a lifelong student of the Bible, loved to read and watch movies, and absolutely loved a good chocolate bar. Frank's sense of humor and jokes were very well known to those who knew and loved him. Family was important to Frank, and he cherished time spent and phone calls with his children and grandchildren. He also had a special bond with his service dogs, Bogart and Sally.
Frank is survived by his wife of nearly 16 years, Candy; his children, Robert (Sara) Goodale, Greg (Erin) Goodale, and John-Henry (Nikki) Goodale; grandchildren, Lei'la, Robbie, Aleigha and Lyla; his siblings, Chuck (Janis Becking) Goodale and Marsha Lynn; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Stacy Goodale, Dan (Jackie) Bailey, and Cindy (Steve) Gottfried; many nephews and nieces; other relatives and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Polly Goodale; a brother, Greg H. Goodale; father and mother-in-law, William and Jean Bailey; sister-in-law Wendy Prestley; and his service dogs, Bogart and Sally.
Visitation will be held at NEW Freedom Church, 1255 Russett Ct, Green Bay, WI, 54313 at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 5, 2024, with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place at Mill Centre Cemetery in Green Bay, WI at a later date. Frank had a vibrant personality and loved to wear vibrant colored clothing. The family asks that you dress comfortably in your favorite color.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund will be established. Expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com, or cards mailed to Blaney Funeral Home to the attention of the family of Frank Goodale, and they will be forwarded.
A special thank you is extended to Frank's doctor of 16 years, Dr. Jason Hoppe; the staff at Woodside Lutheran Home; and all the nurses and caregivers who lovingly cared for Frank in Arizona and Wisconsin for the past 33 years.
