Frances "Elane" E. McGregor, 83, Green Bay, passed away in the comfort of her own home on Monday, March 3, 2025. She was born November 8, 1941, in Mississippi to Jesse and Eunice LaVerne (Dickinson) Jones.

Elane loved old cars; classic cars were so neat to her. She took great pride and joy in her '57 Chevy. Elane street raced and dirt track raced in her younger years as well as toured with Night Ranger. She enjoyed traveling and visited many places in her life. Elane always enjoyed seeing someplace new. She married Marvin McGregor. He was the true love of her life and preceded her in death in 2012. Elane was a hard worker, proud of her southern roots and native heritage. She enjoyed going to thrift shops, tent camping, collecting blue and white items and unicorns, and listening to Elvis, Hank Williams, Patsy Cline, and old country songs. Her greatest joy was being a mother and grandmother. Elane loved being a mom and a guardian and was overjoyed to be a nana and great-grandmother. She cherished all of the time she was able to spend with her entire family.

She is survived by her children, Wanda Strouf, Joseph LaPere, William McGregor, Melanie (Dave) Morey, Chris McGregor; grandchildren, Darryl, Deanna, Dawn, Destanie, Justin, Lance, Derek, Halleigh, Dalton, Lexi, Brittanie, Brandon; many great-grandchildren; sister, DeLane Hanson; other relatives, and friends.

Elane was preceded in death by her true love, Marvin; parents, Jesse and Eunice; great-grandson, Corbin; siblings, David, Eloise, and Doris.

Friends and family will gather at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave., from 10:30 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Monday, March 10; Funeral Service to follow at noon. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.

Elane's family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff of St. Croix Hospice, especially Nicole and Lyman and to their close family friend, Samantha Farah for her constant care for mom in her last days.
