Erma L. Schuch, 94, Green Bay, passed away on Friday, July 17, 2020. She was born on May 21, 1926 in South Dakota to the late William and Hazel (Ridgeway) Dunsmore. On August 26, 1947 she married the love of her life, Edward Schuch in Tyndall, South Dakota.
Erma and Edward moved to Green Bay where they raised their family. She was an avid reader and enjoyed a challenging crossword puzzle. Erma took pride in her travels to the Czech Republic where she was a volunteer with her husband, Edward. She also enjoyed gardening, crocheting and was a talented seamstress. She was active in 4H, as well as the Altar Rosary Society at St. Joseph Parish, where she was a member for over 50 years. In recent years she was a member of St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.
Erma is survived by her beloved husband, Edward; children, Patricia (Theodore) Jankowski, Margaret "Peg" (Donald) Ropson, Deborah (Patrick) Buckman, Mary (Steve) Birtzer, Kathryn (Jeffrey) Koehler, Jean (James) Gustafson, Teresa (Rick) Schroeder and William (Catherine) Schuch; grandchildren, Aniela, Jennifer, Kimberly, Christine, Michael, Daniel, Alan, Marie, Rachel, Nicholas, Derek, Matthew and Erin; great-grandchildren Benjamin, Eleanor, Charlotte, Samuel, and Braelynn; two sisters, Elaine Schneider and Marilyn (Ernest) Stolz; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her infant daughter, Jerri Lynn and granddaughter, Laura Birtzer.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral, 140 S. Monroe Avenue, Green Bay from 10:00 am until the time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am. Rev. In lieu of flowers, a memorial fund has been established at St. Francis Xavier Cathedral.
