Elizabeth came from a large family and had ten siblings. Her first employment was inspecting casings for bombs during World War II. Betty moved to Green Bay to live with her sister when she started a job at Woolrich in the hat department. On July 3, 1948, she married Glen Seims at St. Willebrord Catholic Church. Betty had two sons and was happy to become full-time mom. She was involved in all of their activities and clubs. She was very active in the cub scouts and was a four-time winner of the Golden Axe Award. Betty was always welcoming and made sure everyone felt at home. She later became a sales representative for Avon, Park Land, and Sarah Coventry jewelry and was very successful. Betty loved boating on the bay, enjoyed many family vacations, and taking her boys fishing.  Elizabeth enjoyed playing cards with close friends and neighbors. She had two black labs and a golden retriever that she treated like children. She was a determined woman. Together she and Glen had a happy life.
