Douglas Wayne Johnston (a.k.a. Wayne Douglas Lockhart), 72, Green Bay, passed away Sunday, June 8th, 2025. He was born September 6, 1952, in Vancouver B.C. to Ruth E. Lockhart and Roy Irvine Pillat.
Douglas moved to the Seattle area in his teens and was adopted by Gilbert Johnston. After high school Douglas worked as a travel agent, hair salon manager, and real estate office assistant. He enjoyed visiting India, New Zealand and other areas of the world in his younger years.
He graduated in 1977 from the Academy of Universal Truth in Seattle. Douglas and his late partner, L. Hansen enjoyed breeding show dogs and were very proud of the beautiful Chows they raised. Doug was never married, nor had children but cherished his brother, Ron Martin. He moved to Green Bay in 2021 to live near his close friends.
Doug had a cheerful smile, wicked humor, enjoyed a good cup of coffee, and daily walk around the neighborhood.
Douglas leaves behind the Landry family that cared for him.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
A private gathering of friends will be held in memory of Douglas.
