Donna (Van Vooren) Heim, 82, of Green Bay, passed away on Wednesday, May 22, 2024, surrounded by the love of her children.
Donna was the daughter of the late Amos and Priscilla Van Vooren. She graduated from Peshtigo High School. In October 1960, she married Larry Heim at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Peshtigo, and they are reunited in heaven seven years to the week of Larry's passing.
Donna was employed for 34 years at JCPenney. After retirement, she enjoyed lunch dates with friends, working seasonally for Ambrosius Studios, serving as an election poll worker, and volunteering as an active member of Annunciation Church.
Along with a beautiful smile, Donna will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She was faith-filled and kindhearted with a gentle spark of wit.
She leaves a legacy of love through her family as she is survived by her three children, Lisa (Scott) Niemuth, Steven (Kelly) Heim, Patti (Tom) Tomashek; eight grandchildren, Megan (Ryan) Huettl, Ben (Kendra) Niemuth, Alex (Taylor) Niemuth, Lauren (Garrick) Fisher, Morgan (Michael) Linssen, Michael (Ashley) Heim, Clayton (Tera Schroeder) Tomashek, and Lana (Andy) Fox; and 15 great grandchildren.
She is further survived by family, Tom (Wanda) Van Vooren, Kay Van Vooren, Antonette Marineau, Dorothy Sohr, Cindy (David Casey) Baker, Pat (Jim) Anderla, Fran (Maureen) Mathy, Carol Zellner, Tom (Lorraine) Heim, Mary Ann Zellner, Diane Lardinois, as well as nieces and nephews.
Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Larry; her parents, Amos and Priscilla Van Vooren; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Andrew and Martha Heim; stepfather, Francis Mathy; brother, Bob Van Vooren; and further family, Randy Sohr, Barbara Sohr-Durow, Gary Marineau, Mick and Kathy Heim, Andy Heim, Clifford Zellner, Keith Zellner, Dick Lardinois, David Lardinois, and James Mathy.
Family and friends will gather at Annunciation Catholic Church, 401 Gray Street in Green Bay, on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, for visitation from 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:30 a.m. Entombment will be at Fort Howard Cemetery.
