Donna Mae (Sorensen) Vandenbush, age 93, passed away peacefully on April 20, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born on September 9, 1932, to the late Clifford Joseph and Lucille Mary (Parins) Sorensen, Donna's life was a testament to her devotion to family and service. On May 21, 1953, she married John Henry Vandenbush. Together, they built a life centered on love and family until John's passing on November 6, 2010.

Donna's legacy lives on through her children: David (Joan) Vandenbush of Wallace, MI; Mary (Brian) Bankert of Menasha, WI; Joseph (Kelly) Vandenbush of Sussex, WI; and Paul (Elizabeth) Vandenbush of St. Louis, MO.

She was the cherished grandmother of John (Merissa), Joshua (Miranda), and Ethan Vandenbush; Christina (Timothy Fedor), Michael (Colleen Murphy), and Matthew (Grace) Bankert; and Jack and Ela Ryan. Olivia Wheaton, and Joseph and Christopher Vandenbush.

She was especially proud of her great-grandchildren: Raleigh and Elayna Vandenbush; Elias Rosatti and Ezra, Aubrey, Ashlyn and Aurora Vandenbush; and Josephine Bankert.

She is further survived by her sister, Eileen Barnes and brother-in-law, James VanLanen, as well as many beloved nieces, nephews, and friends.

Donna was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Barbara VanLanen.

Special thank you to The Heritage, Appleton and ThedaCare Hospice for taking very good care of Donna for the last 2 and a half years. She loved you all very much and we are grateful for your excellent care for Donna.

Friends and family will gather at St. Mary's Catholic Church, at 804 Henriette St., Crivitz, Wisconsin., from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 4; Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 a.m. with Father David Schmidt officiating.
