Donna (Yankowski) Basche, 44, Green Bay, died Wednesday, March 19, 2008, with her family and friends by her side.

She was born March 28, 1963, in St. John, New Brunswick, Canada, to Anthony and Eleanor (Staj) Yankowski. On Jan. 10, 1987, she married Patrick Basche in Neenah, Wis. She graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a B.S. degree in Biology and Botany.

She worked in the Environmental Science field and as a florist. Donna and Patrick lived throughout the Midwest finally settling home in Green Bay. She loved being at Camp U-Nah-Li-Ya (where she met her beloved Patrick), gardening, being outdoors, acquiring antiques, and she also loved animals.

Donna enjoyed being a spectator at her three boys sporting events, loved being with her family, but mostly loved being a mom. She was easy going, yet stubborn, had a great imagination and enthusiasm for life, and loved to entertain.

Survivors include her husband, Patrick; three sons, John Anthony Basche, Paul Michael Basche and David Patrick Basche, all at home; three brothers, Anthony (Cheryl) Yankowski, Colorado; Michael (Joanne) Yankowski, Louisiana; Steven (Julia) Yankowski, Omro; one sister, Aileen Marie Yankowski, Long Beach, Calif.; her mother-in-law, Mary Margaret Basche; her sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Anne (Robert) Devitt, Margaret (Michael) Lund, John P. (Patricia) Basche; many other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Anthony and Eleanor Yankowski, and her father-in-law, John Basche.

Friends may call at Saints Edward & Isidore Catholic Church, 3667 Flintville Rd., Flintville, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Monday. A memorial fund has been established to benefit the Vince Lombardi Cancer Clinic at Aurora BayCare Medical Center.
