Donald "Don" A. Zeller, 84, Little Suamico, passed away Tuesday, June 3, 2025. He was born June 30, 1940, in Nelson, WI to Leroy and Amanda (Bast) Zeller.
Don served in the U.S. Navy and worked for the state DOT for 36 years. He retired in 1997. Don married Patricia Springman. Together they were longtime members of Faith Chapel. Don served the church by volunteering to help inside and out. He was a man of service; that was his love language. He was always willing to help his family, friends, and neighbors. Don enjoyed fishing, hunting, spending time outdoors, and riding his motorcycle with his wife. Along with Patricia, they especially enjoyed camping; they would camp in a tent, a camper, or even a boat. Don was a talented woodworker and enjoyed working with his hands. Above all Don loved his family and the easiest way to see him smile was being with his grandchildren. Being a grandpa, papa, and pop was his greatest joy.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia; daughter, Susanne (Kevin) Koehne; grandchildren, Zachary Koehne, Anna (Collin Brault) Koehne; sisters-in-law, Sandra Springman; Colleen Springman, brother-in-law, Stephen (Lynda) Springman; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Don was preceded in death by his son, Adam; parents, Amanda and Leroy; in-laws, Florence and Dave Springman, a brother-in-law, David Springman; sister-in-law, Helen Springman; and nephew, William Springman.
Friends and family will gather at Faith Chapel, 800 High Meadow Ct, from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM on Saturday, June 14; Funeral Service to follow at 11:00 AM. Burial will be in Riverside Suamico Cemetery. To send online condolences, please go to www.BlaneyFuneralHome.com.
In memory of Don, the family requests memorial donations be made to Tunnel to Towers, DAV, VFW, Samaritan's Purse and the American Association for Cancer Research.
A special thank you shoutout to our church family and all our wonderful neighbors and friends helping us get through this difficult time.
