Con el corazón lleno de tristeza, pero con fe en la gloriosa promesa de la vida eterna, anunciamos el regreso al hogar celestial de nuestra madre, abuela, hermana y amiga, Disnalda Altagracia Santos, quien partió en paz para reunirse con el Señor el 28 de mayo de 2025.

Nacida en Paso Hondo, Tenares, República Dominicana, fue hija de Juana Ant. Justo Salazar y Gerardo Santos, y la cuarta de doce hermanos. Desde joven mostró una profunda fe, un amor por el conocimiento y una vocación de servicio.

Estudió en las escuelas de su comunidad, completando su formación en el Liceo Regino Camilo y graduándose como maestra normal primaria en el centro Luis Napoleón Núñez Molina de Santiago. Se dedicó a la enseñanza por más de 30 años como maestra y directora en las escuelas de Los Guazaros y Los Pomos en Tenares, y luego como secretaria en el Centro Educativo Quisqueya de Santiago, donde se destacó por su entrega, respeto y dedicación.

Su vida espiritual fue firme y constante: rezaba el Rosario a diario y encontraba guía y consuelo en la lectura de los Salmos. Era una mujer alegre, espontánea y generosa, que iluminó la vida de sus seres queridos con su ejemplo.

Por más de 40 años compartió su vida con su esposo, Félix Espinal (Chery), con quien formó un hogar lleno de fe, amor y unidad. Él la precedió en el descanso eterno en 2011. Deja como legado a sus cinco hijos: Fredy William, Francisco, Wascar Reynaldo, Darly Magdalena y Eudis Alberto-, a quienes formó con amor y valores firmes. Sus nietos fueron su mayor alegría y los tesoros de su corazón.

Hoy descansamos en la certeza de que el Señor la ha recibido en Su gloria, y que desde el cielo continuara cuidándonos con el mismo amor que mostró durante su tiempo aquí en la tierra.

Disnalda Altagracia Santos

With hearts full of sorrow but with faith in the glorious promise of eternal life, we announce the heavenly homecoming of our mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, Disnalda Altagracia Santos, who departed in peace to be with the Lord on May 28, 2025.

Born in Paso Hondo, Tenares, Dominican Republic, she was the daughter of Juana Ant. Justo Salazar and Gerardo Santos, and the fourth of twelve siblings. From a young age, she demonstrated deep faith, a love of learning, and a calling to serve.

She studied in local schools, completed her education at Liceo Regino Camilo, and graduated as an elementary school teacher from the Luis Napoleón Núñez Molina Center in Santiago. She dedicated more than 30 years to education, serving as both teacher and principal in the schools of Los Guazaros and Los Pomos in Tenares, and later as a secretary at the Quisqueya Educational Center in Santiago, where she stood out for her commitment, integrity, and dedication.

Rooted deeply in faith, she prayed the Rosary daily and found comfort and guidance in reading the Psalms. She was a joyful, spirited, and generous soul who led by example, filling the lives of those around her with love and light.

For over 40 years, she shared her life with her husband, Félix Espinal (Chery), with whom she built a home full of faith, love, and unity. He preceded her in eternal rest in 2011. She leaves behind a legacy through her five children-Fredy William, Francisco, Wascar Reynaldo, Darly Magdalena, and Eudis Alberto-whom she raised with love and strong values. Her grandchildren were her greatest joy and the treasures of her heart.

Today we find comfort in the certainty that the Lord has received her in His glory and that she continues to watch over us from heaven with the same love she showed during her time on earth.
