On Aug. 12, 1972, Dennis married Kerry J. Meyer in Cadillac, Mich. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a bachelor's degree in science, obtained an M.S. from St. Louis University and received his D.D.S. from the University of Detroit in 1976. Dennis had an active professional and community presence.
